New Book Launch

End U.S. Healthcare Waste.
One Health Plan at a Time.

A practical, data-driven guide for the self-insured industry: employers, benefits directors, CFOs, TPAs, payers, brokers, consultants and all parties ready to take control of rising health plan costs.

About the Book

America spends more on healthcare than any other nation and gets less in return. U.S. healthcare waste totals an estimated $1.6 trillion annually — a figure that exceeds the GDP of more than 180 countries.

The waste does not accumulate by accident. It is built into contracts, protected by opacity, and perpetuated by vendors with no financial incentive to fix it. Employers who self-insure their health plans sit at the center of this problem. They also hold the most direct authority to solve it.

Model Optimal Care is a practical, data-driven guide written by Jude Odu, a 25-year healthcare technology veteran who has worked across every major sector of the U.S. health system. Odu introduces a new framework positioned as the next step beyond Value-Based Care, resting on five core principles: Transparency, Accountability, Integration, Engagement, and Technology Enablement.

The strategies in this book deliver results. Employers who apply them consistently achieve 20 to 30% reduction in annual healthcare spend.

Transparency alone does not reduce healthcare costs. Employers need the discipline to act on what the data reveals. Model Optimal Care delivers that discipline, with practical strategies that turn information into fiduciary action.
